BOOK BANS

As a writer and author, I feel compelled to discuss the issue of book bans for political or religious reasons. We're aware that many books are banned from distribution for speaking out against politics or, in some cases, religions or societal norms.

While I understand concerns about preventing the spread of unfactual or opinion-based content, I also know that banning books often piques public interest, leading to increased curiosity and a willingness to read and learn more. This phenomenon can even drive the spread of untruthful writing or opinionated content, with books selling at unusual prices.

In my opinion, we should allow the public to read every magazine and book, enabling them to discern right from wrong based on their understanding. If individuals are receptive to misguided messages, reading or not reading books won't change their perspective – open-minded individuals know what's right or wrong. In conclusion, it's best not to dictate what others should believe regarding politics, religion, and societal values.
