MY INDEPENDENT WRITING IS NOT UP FOR NEGOTIATION
The decision to become an independent writer and blogger is, at its core, a commitment to freedom of thought and creative autonomy. My work—spanning books and articles—has been deliberately focused on engaging with the public to explore and discuss critical social and political issues. I strive to shine a light on complex, often hidden, problems that affect our communities at large.
However, this commitment to independent inquiry has unfortunately made me a target. I have been subjected to a continuous campaign of mental and emotional abuse and harassment. This abuse stems from individuals who, rather than engaging constructively with the broader topics I choose to cover, demand that I use my platform to address their specific, personal grievances.
The Unacceptable Demand for Specificity
The pressure I face is persistent and invasive. Perpetrators insist I write about issues such as their personal family conflicts, financial struggles (like lack of money for groceries or shopping), or housing difficulties. While these are real concerns for those involved, the attempt to force me to abandon my focus on wider social and political issues to serve their narrow, self-defined agendas is fundamentally an act of coercion.
Let me be unequivocally clear: As an independent writer, I have absolutely no obligation to dedicate my blog or books to the specific, private problems that this individual or that group is facing. My choice of subject matter is, and must remain, my own. This is the definition of independence.
Crossing the Line into Stalking and Micromanagement
The situation has escalated far beyond mere disagreement. The perpetrators have crossed a dangerous line, engaging in behavior that amounts to stalking and an invasion of my privacy.
* They are spying on my activities.
* They are micromanaging every aspect of my personal and private life.
* Any step I take, any plan I form, is met with immediate, abusive objections and a new cycle of harassment.
This coercive approach is an attempt to exert total control, not just over my professional writing, but over my private existence. The fact that bullies have been dispatched to my intended destinations, ensuring I become a continuous target of harassment, illustrates the organized and malicious intent behind these actions—an apparent effort by what seems to be a group of political protestors to weaponize abuse to force my public compliance.
Upholding the Right to an Independent Voice
For over two decades, this abuse and harassment have been a grim reality, with legal mechanisms seemingly failing to intervene. This inaction emboldens the perpetrators and allows them to continue their destructive course.
Regardless of the tactics employed, the core principle remains non-negotiable: I will not be coerced.
My platform will continue to focus on the social and political issues that I, as an independent thinker, deem worthy of investigation and discussion. Attempts to dictate my subject matter by means of spying, abuse, and harassment will be met with firm resistance.
The integrity of an independent voice rests on the right to choose what to write about and what to engage with. That freedom—the freedom to choose my focus, and the freedom to pursue it without fear of targeted harassment—is not up for negotiation.
