THE SABETAGE LOOP - PROJECTING FAILURE ONTO VICTIM

One recognized psychological technique involves mentally planning the steps to achieve a goal before taking action. This practice helps individuals prepare and anticipate challenges, increasing the likelihood of success.

Unfortunately, there is a pattern of behavior that is used to sabotage and belittle another person's planning and achievements. This involves making fun of someone's efforts and the results they achieve. The goal of this bullying is to make the victim feel that their initial plan was unrealistic and their eventual achievement is worthless.

This is a method of bullying that aims to belittle accomplishments by creating an unfair and unrealistic comparison. The most concerning aspect is that these harassers often project their own wishes and plans onto the victim, using these false assumptions to diminish the victim's actual success.

This harassment is extensive, affecting every area of the victim's life, from relationships and work to personal goals. The aggressors intensify their efforts by sabotaging the victim's future plans. They may repeatedly ask about the victim's intentions—such as what they plan to do, where they intend to go, or what work they are pursuing—in order to create restrictions and obstacles to ensure the victim cannot achieve their goals.

I have personally faced this type of sabotage and bullying for years. Even when I make small plans—like scheduling an appointment, attempting to go to a  gathering, or advertising an effort—these bullies immediately begin harassment and create limitations and wrong advertising to prevent me from reaching my goal.

It appears this behavior stems from the aggressors' inability to achieve their own goals. By sabotaging the aspirations of others, they may want to feel better about themselves. However, such consistently destructive behavior is serious, and these individuals likely need professional help to address the root causes of their jelousy and emotional abuse .
