WHEN HARD WORK MET WITH HARASSMENT
It's a common experience: behind every success lies immense hard work, late nights, and a singular focus on a goal. But all others see is the finished product. Since they weren't there for the effort and sacrifices, some people assume that someone else did the work or that we received unfair support. By spreading rumors and criticism, they try to take credit for at least a portion of our accomplishments.
In this process, they cross a line, pretending it would be impossible for you to have done that volume of work alone. They claim they're "seeking the truth" while using harassment, abuse, and deception to belittle and defame you. Some even try to close down your social media accounts to suggest your profile or work was inappropriate, all in an effort to cover their lies and sabotage your reputation.
This behavior, however, reveals their true character and the type of business they conduct. Unfortunately, the defamation they create can still negatively impact our own work. All of this happens simply because they aren't capable of the same accomplishments. The best excuse they can find is to link your success to a group or others to hide their own lack of achievement.
While it feels like there isn't much we can do besides explaining their harassment to the public, we can only hope that the law will draw a line against this type of abuse.
