GOVERNMENTAL PROTECTION

A citizen is defined as someone entitled to governmental protection and the exercise of civil rights.

Based on this definition, citizens expect certain rights beyond those inherent to human nature. Statistics show millions of people hold dual citizenship, expecting enjoyment, protection, and rights from both countries without compromise.

Forcing a dual citizen to choose between countries goes against the definition of citizenship. Legal citizens expect to be welcomed in their country anytime , without being forced to pick one over the other or 'sell out' one country for another.

In this discussion, governmental protection is key to ending this type of discrimination.
