CONTROLLING ABUSE & GASLIGHTING
Mental and emotional abuse often manifests as a pervasive form of **control**, where an individual's life is manipulated in nearly every aspect. This can involve gaslighting tactics, such as **recreating past traumatic experiences** or forcing the victim to relive unwanted incidents repeatedly. Abusers may also employ unsettling methods like sending individuals who resemble figures the victim dislikes, amplifying feelings of distress and paranoia.
The ultimate goal of such abuse is frequently to **shift blame onto the victim**. After enduring relentless psychological torment, the abuser might pretend the harassment originated from the victim, claiming they simply "rebuilt" a past experience during which the victim was bullied. This twisted logic allows the abuser to cover their tracks and, in a particularly cruel twist, attempt to "make the victim feel better" by comparing their current suffering to the worst possible scenarios. In reality, the victim is merely a **survivor struggling to breathe**, deprived of even the smallest moments of enjoyment.
Most of the time make a severe cases, abusers strategically place their victims in **financially and mentally toxic environments**. This calculated move is designed to push the victim back into previously abusive situations, making their daily life relentlessly unpleasant and harassing, thereby perpetuating a cycle of suffering free of any responsibility while shifting blames to the victim.
