BREAKING THE SILENCE

Discrimination against women isn't a new issue; it's a deep-rooted historical pattern that has consistently relegated them to second-class citizenship. This prejudice harks back to times when parents favored sons over daughters, a sentiment that, disturbingly, still echoes today. We continue to see various forms of manipulation and deceit targeting women. Men, accustomed to their historical dominance in homes and leadership positions, often struggle to accept successful female leaders. The grim reality of a past where girls were buried alive in the pursuit of a son continues to resonate. Many in older generations, influenced by their upbringing, still cling to the belief that women are inherently less capable than men in society.

Adding to this, we're constantly exposed to advertising that suggests a woman's success is either due to a man's support or her physical appearance. This toxic environment creates immense barriers for women, impacting every aspect of their lives, even within their own homes. The discrimination intensifies for single or divorced women, who are often isolated and unfairly branded as desperate. They're accused of using their looks or bodies to advance and are subjected to inappropriate names and labels.

I've personally faced this harassment for most of my life. However, as a woman and a writer, I refuse to remain silent. I am compelled to expose these deceptive tactics and misleading narratives.
