BETWEEN TWO WORLDS

Just as a mother's love for her children is unwavering, yet tailored to each child's unique needs, countries should strive to show similar understanding towards their citizens who choose to live abroad. When individuals brave the challenges of immigration and successfully integrate into a new society, they deserve to be treated with dignity and respect, regardless of their origins.

Two crucial points deserve attention:

1. Immigrants who have navigated the complexities of a new country should not face prejudice or differential treatment for born in or loving their country of origin.

2. In case they decide to return, countries should welcome back their citizens who have lived abroad, providing them with the same rights and respect afforded to other citizens, whether they return permanently or visit temporarily.

Sadly, many individuals, including myself, have experienced unfair treatment from both their adopted countries and homeland, feeling caught between being pushed away and not being welcomed back.
