BULLYING UNDER COVER OF LAW
We're all familiar with the police warning given to suspects: 'You have the right to remain silent, anything you say can be used against you in a court of law.' Unfortunately, a group of manipulators and abusers exploit this statement to target individuals with opposing opinions. They pretend to be law enforcement, spying on and bullying their targets, using any words or actions against them to make them appear guilty.
This behavior, while seemingly harmless, causes significant mental and emotional distress for the targets and damages the police organization's reputation. The bullies' goals appear to be twofold: to compare themselves favorably to their targets and damage their health and finances, and to undermine trust in law enforcement.
It seems this approach is against freedom of speech and shutting opponents up. It's concerning that some police groups might view this as a compliment, ignoring the victims' suffering. Ultimately, these tactics can lead to police loss of social position and respect in society.
