THE MANY LIVES I LIVED BEFORE BECOMING A WRITER

I’ve noticed many of you are curious about what my life looked like before I became a writer. I believe in being open about the path I’ve walked, so I’d like to share the timeline of my career with you.

My professional journey has been anything but a straight line. I began my first chapter working as a receptionist and accounting assistant, eventually moving into roles as a private tutor and junior engineer. Over time, I climbed the ladder to become a Project Controls (PC) Head, Senior Engineer, and ultimately an Executive Manager.

Then, life directed me to start from zero.

I pivoted into volunteer work, served as a financial adviser, and returned to the field as a co-op student. I began building again, moving from an engineer working in a warehouse to a senior engineer working on job sites, and eventually becoming a Senior PC Lead.

Then, one more time, life dictated that I start from zero.

I tried working on job sites over and over. I worked at Home Depot as a warehouse associate, doing what was necessary to keep moving forward.

Today, I am a writer, blogger, and journalist, currently working part-time as I build this new chapter.

I’m sharing this to encourage anyone who feels they need to start over in some part of their life. Life doesn’t always follow the script we write for it; it has inevitable ups and downs. I’ve learned that the best way to reach your milestones is through persistent hard work and, above all, never giving up.
