SHAPING OUR DESTINY
Some people claim to predict destinies through coffee cup reading or tarot cards. While these activities can be entertaining, I personally don't believe they can accurately determine one's fate. A story that comes to mind is about a young man who visited a fortune teller and was warned not to travel due to a predicted car accident. Despite his family's attempts to prevent him from traveling, he had to attend to his business obligations. However, his fear and anxiety, fueled by the prediction and his family's concerns, ultimately led to a fatal accident.
I recall a similar experience from my youth when I visited a fortune teller with friends. She predicted I will die at 40 having only one son. Neither prediction came true, but some individuals tried to create a narrative around these claims, making me feel like I was dead or living as a ghost and people in my past do not know me. I later realized that this notion of destiny contradicts the concept of personal control and free will. Many people born into challenging circumstances argue that if destiny were controllable, they wouldn't be where they are today.
Unfortunately, some people still try to shape my reality, creating a narrative that portrays me as a bad person or someone trapped in past relationships. Some even go as far as crossing into absurd accusations, assigning me a role of people they blame or request something from them. I firmly believe that our lives are shaped by our choices and actions, not predetermined fate. However, toxic environments like these can have severe consequences, potentially leading to devastating outcomes, much like the story of the young man whose fear and anxiety ultimately led to his demise.
