MOVE ON FROM THE PAST
There's a group of people who seem stuck in a bygone era, nostalgic for a time that's long gone. They yearn for the same systems, living situations, and even the same limitations, like no internet or media. It's a nostalgic longing for a life that's been left behind.
We all, at some point, fantasize about turning back the clock to our younger selves, but deep down, we know it's just a fantasy. Time keeps moving, and the world isn't waiting for anyone. As we navigate life, we experience losses and gains, and sometimes we might regret what's been lost or appreciate what we never had.
However, we can't turn back the clock or relive moments. Instead, we should focus on the present and appreciate what we have today. Some people, though, get so caught up in the past that they forget what they're missing out on in the present. By dwelling on what's gone, they're losing out on today and setting themselves up for regret tomorrow.
It's understandable that sometimes our past can be better than our present, but reality is what we have today, not what we had yesterday. The dream of going back to our past to find the same comfort we had is just that – a dream. Instead of chasing an unattainable past, we could at least hold onto what's remained. By doing so, we can preserve what's still valuable and meaningful, rather than losing it all in pursuit of something that's forever out of reach.
Unfortunately, in this dreaming environment, some individuals even try to make others live in their dream and make everything like the past to make them stay in the past the way they do. This way, they feel better about themselves, regardless of what others who are forced to live in their dream life are suffering.
It's a cycle of nostalgia and regret, rather than living in the here and now. They need to break free from the past and start living in the present, embracing what they have today rather than pining for what's gone and let others live in their presents too .
Moving forward from the past doesn't necessarily mean forgetting or forgiving what's happened. Rather, it's about acknowledging the present situation and adapting to the circumstances we have today. It's a matter of accepting where we are now and finding ways to navigate our current reality, rather than getting stuck in what's gone before.
