GASLIGHTED
When someone is subjected to gaslighting and mental abuse, they often experience panic and self-doubt. The bullies manipulate others into believing the victim is crazy, and the victim themselves may start to question their own sanity.
Gaslighted individuals, overwhelmed by emotional pressure and helplessness, may struggle to find support from healthcare or law enforcement. As no one believes them, they become desperate to understand the reason behind the harassment and abuse.
In this toxic environment, the gaslighted person becomes trapped in their thoughts, desperately seeking a way out. They may write down their thoughts, sometimes unreasonably, as a coping mechanism to make sense of their reality. The intense pressure can also impact their memory.
However, bullies exploit the victim's words, using them against the victim during interrogations. They may even accuse the victim of being in contact with someone mentioned in their diary, further covering up their own abuse.
This toxic cycle, combined with authorities often believing the bullies over the victim, can lead to devastating consequences, including fatality or subsidence. Only a few individuals manage to escape this injustice and double jeopardy.
