EITHER / OR , NEITHER/ NOR
Life is composed of moments, and our daily decisions shape our lives. We make choices every day, from simple decisions like what to eat for lunch or what to wear to a specific event, to more significant decisions like buying a house or car, and even who to enter into a relationship with or who to elect as our leader.
In most cases, we narrow down our options to two final choices and then make a decision. This is a fundamental aspect of human life that has been the same for centuries.
What I find astonishing is that some individuals try to force others to make choices that align with their own preferences. Regardless of personal taste, lifestyle, or human rights, these individuals bully others into conforming to their choices. If the person refuses, the bullying escalates.
Interestingly, these bullies often justify their behavior by claiming they are protecting their children, which is a completely abusive excuse. They believe they have the right to dictate how others should live, make decisions, and even choose their spouse, children, and family, simply because their lifestyle, outfit, home, or spouse differs from what the other person prefers.
Bullies often disguise their abuse by saying "it shouldn't be either/or," but in reality, many decisions in life require choosing one option over another. You can't have two presidents, two husbands, or wear two dresses at the same time. However, there are situations where having multiple options is acceptable, such as having multiple friends, children, or stores.
But here's the catch: when you do try to make a choice, they dictate that you're not allowed to choose either option. They impose a "neither/nor" scenario, effectively taking away your right to make a decision. This is a classic tactic used by bullies to control and manipulate others.
Personally, I've experienced criticism for every single choice and decision I've made over the last 20 years, even for writing a book or shedding light on social issues. I have been criticized for choosing one subject over another for my book. Isn't this a violation of human rights
