Discriminating against immigrants from every angle is a widely adopted approach in North America. Those who only hear political sides of news about some countries or simply have no knowledge of part of the world assume refugees are the same as immigrants or have a corrupted background.
However, even refugees are categorized into a variety of groups, and their statuses are not considered the same.
Believing that anyone who leaves their birth country and chooses to live in another place must have a big problem is due to a lack of knowledge.
In Canada, immigration is based on education, investment, skills, and experiences. Therefore, if not all, most immigrants have to be at the top level of their careers economically and socially to achieve the required points.
In 2024, isn’t it time we stop judging other races and nationalities based on our political views?
